Rafael Correa, the president of Ecuador, is making waves across social media after a photo showed him posing with a young boy wearing an "I'm With Stupid" shirt — with an arrow pointed in Correa's direction.

The hashtag #IAmWithStupidMashi has inspired thousands of tweets from Correa's detractors, while his supporters are using the more polite #WeAreWithYouMashi.
